Current Obsession: The Bell Jar

Thursday, September 27, 2012

While they might have got their start as a scientific tools, I love all of the glass bell jars I am seeing in interiors these days. They are a great way to add a bit of industrial modern style to your space and are so versatile - you can fill them a small sculpture or momento, fruit, foliage, a potted plant or anything really! Bell jars, also known as cloches, are also perfect for switching up your decor for the season or as a table top centerpiece for parties.

Here is a retail roundup my a few of my favorites!
Sweet and graceful. . .

Modern and fresh . . .

Classic and old fashioned . . .
22 Bay Road and it's just $20!

Do you have a bell jar at home?
I am now on the hunt, anyone know where I can find one in Singapore?

Hi Allison, I have seen some downstairs at Totts in Sime Darby Centre. They appeared to be sitting on cake stands, but looked quite pretty.

Im actually looking for one for a valentines day project. I know its cliche, but the girl im really into just watched beauty and the beast for the first time (eventhough the's 22) and is totally in love with it. Any idea how big those bell jars at tott were? or if i can get one similar to the one in the cartoon in singapore?
