Hi Everyone, I'm back! 

So sorry for my silence, I was lucky enough to be traveling around the US seeing family and best friends and was just too much of a busy bee to check in! I missed my husband and design work here in Singapore terribly but loved every moment in the states, especially my last week soaking up the lovely spring time weather in NYC. I was just in time to catch the cherry blossoms and loved seeing large arrangements of flowering branches in loads of restaurants and shops - such a classic and naturally beautiful look! Plus, flowering branches will last weeks longer than cut blooms. Here are a few of my favorite inspirations. . . .

House Tour: Bold & Lovely in NYC

Today I am so inspired by this small but power packed NYC apartment by designer Ashley Whittaker {and not only since I just arrived in this amazing city for a visit!} At only 800 square feet it's certainly not large but I love the vibrant and fresh style it exudes and how spacious it feel. A perfectly glamourous and playful girl's pad in the city . . . 

Here a few tips to take away from this bright and happy home:

{1} Don't be afraid to mix of retail and custom sources. I spot quite a few Ikea and Ballard Designs pieces in here along with many luxe accessories and fabric - a great contrast of saves and splurges!

{2} Use bold pattern and color to add visual interest and make every space count - lots of people go too neutral in a small space {I especially adore the wallpapers in this home!}

{3} Don't over clutter - there should be plenty of room to move throughout the space, no matter how petite the apartment!

S+B Style Crush: Jenny Wolf Interiors

I have a major style crush on NY based designer Jenny Wolf. I shared a bright and lovely office by her a few weeks ago and really just adore her whole portfolio. This is her own loft in New York - I love seeing designers own homes and this one is especially fun. My favorite elements are juxtaposition of traditional with eclectic, modern pieces and the unexpected color choices. I love the pops of coral and how the dining area walls are just the very palest shade of blush pink. It's such a warm and sophisticated space.

Gracious Graphics: I Love NY

I adore the architecture of New York City and especially loved all the different facades and town homes in the West Village, where my husband and I were lucky enough to live for a year. So I could not help but smile when I came across a lovely graphics site, Windows Of New York. Artist Jose Guizar's designs are so simple but still so charming and so representative of each neighborhood. These would be so fun as a set of framed prints!

 I love you NYC!

NYC Holiday Cheer!

I LOVE NY! The beautiful holiday decorations and energetic buzz of the winter season are so wonderful. I am here spending a fantastic week with family and close friends - the best present you could ask for {only wishing my hubby could have come too - missing him in Singapore terribly!}

3rd Anniversary + Winter in Manhattan!

Its our 3rd wedding anniversary today and we were so lucky to be married in the beautiful and wintery Central Park. I adore the vibrant, cozy, festive feel of NYC in the cold. To my amazing husband, I love you more each day. And no matter where our adventures take us, come February 7, my memories will always take me to Central Park in the snow!

Jasper Johns & NYC

I adore Jasper Johns - his work is just always so beautiful and textural and current! I remember falling in love with art history in college and poring over the glossy textbooks with his painting/collages. {I know I am a nerd, but what other subject has such gorgeous textbooks!} If you are in NYC soon - I so wish I was - go check out this exhibit and the other sculptural shows in Chelsea!
