One wonderful surprise about living in Singapore has been learning so much more about Australian design {they are right next door, relatively speaking!}. So after seeing last month's Australian Vogue Living, I just had to post about the talented style icon Marion Hall Best!
The interior designer and tastemaker first opened the doors of her Sydney shop in 1938, and it quickly became a mecca for fresh, inspired design {pictured above!}. She stocked local designs, as well as a range of international fabrics and furniture from designers such as Marimekko, Jim Thompson, Nobilis, Saarinen, and Bertoia. In a time before the internet brought us styles from all over the globe (one of my favorites things about the design world today!) Best's taste for playfully modern and vibrant pieces deeply shaped the scene of Australian design. I love the retro look of her interiors and find her use of bold color especially inspiring!

Fuchsia + indigo is such a beautiful combination!

Lovely bright kitchen!
