After spending last week traveling through Thailand I am a bit Buddha crazy! As the country is 95% buddhist, there are beautiful sculptures, amulets, paintings, and drawings representing Buddha just about everywhere. One of the most lovely things about the religion is how colorful, energetic, and decorative their devotion is! With so many unique and creative pieces I had to share a few favorites I saw in Thailand and also some sculptures beautifully featured in interiors . . .

Worshipers apply gold leaf to the buddha as an offering. Applying the gold to the head brings intelligence, to the chest to bring a caring heart, to the face to bring beauty, and to the hand the bring the ability to help others and do good.
In our apartment, an antiqued terra cotta Buddha, I am not Buddhist but love his serene expression nonetheless!

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
