As a design history nerd, I adore anything vintage and old fashioned, but as a modern designer I especially appreciate when it has an updated, fresh edge. I adore this charming yet sophisticated Maine home designed by Tom Scheerer {one of my all-time fav designers!} There are just so many details here to love - the old fashioned fabrics used just sparingly, the few antique pieces and the soft color palette with shocks of jewel tones. I am dying over the quaint bedroom below. . .
Also this covered porch is so inviting!! Gray painted wicker is a beautiful choice!

Hi Allison, I enjoyed your post on Haus Design the other day.
Love me some Tom Scheerer too! I can't decide if I love that awesome little breakfast nook best or the room with the gorgeous greenery inspired wallpaper.

Maine is one of my favorite spots for a weekend getaway from Boston. Love this house!
aside from the exterior, my favorite space by far is the dining room. it's perfect!
