Lust Worthy Lighting: Beaded Chandeliers

Monday, April 30, 2012

Sometimes one piece just makes a whole space! And these amazing beaded stone chandeliers by Marjorie Skouras certainly qualify! Painstakingly constructed with strings of semi-precious stone beads or naturally formed coral, these light fixtures are just stunning. I adore the bolt of color they bring! So often lighting is treated as an afterthought but these chandeliers prove that they can be a true centerpiece. The turquoise fixture is the most popular but I love the cobalt and coral red one just as much!

Sigh . . . sooo pretty, maybe one day! And if you are feeling really crafty and adventurous, there is an amazingly creative DIY on Gus + Lula!

Allison, I've seen the turquoise piece before but never knew who designed this beauty. Also never knew there were other variations. Just so so pretty. I know how difficult making jewelry can be, I know I wouldn't want to try this one...this is so much more architecture & engineering involved than one would think. xx's
