Iconic Pieces: The Louis Vuitton Vintage Trunk

I love the look of vintage trunks as furniture! They have interesting texture, combine a fun mix of materials, and are perfect for hidden storage and a convenient table top. Of course one the most chic vintage chest is a Louis Vuitton - they are simply iconic. Founded in 1854, Vuitton was first a luggage maker and came to fame as the first to create flat topped canvas trunks that could be efficiently stacked and were also air tight and water proof. And when the LV monogram we all love so much was introduced in 1896 - an classic design piece was born! I love the beat up, well travelled texture of these old trunks and the chic brown on brown pattern.

Such fun to imagine all the glamourous places these trunks have been!
