I am always on the lookout for charming and stylish kitchens that are achieved without the benefits of a new suite of shiny appliances and marble counters. We all know how beautiful that look can be but, what about those of us that are renting or can't swing a kitchen remodel at the moment? This kitchen {via Domino, gosh I miss you Domino!} is a great inspiration for how to create a cool and quirky space. . . here's why I think it works:
{1} A gallery wall filled with small and interesting pieces
{2} Quirky and space efficient open wooden shelving built right over the existing lower cabinets and range
{3} A colorful vintage rug to give the space a homey feel
{4} An antique stool - I love its shape and what a clever way to get a bit more counter space!
