Today I am wishing I lived here! I love the eclectic, relaxed style and feeling of coziness without looking cramped. Why it works?

4) A mix of vintage pieces and new upholstery with modern lines

5) The dark wood and sea grass ceiling which gives so much texture

6) 3 small intimate seating groups instead of one large one

Dreamy Office of the Day

Sigh . . . I wish this was my home office! I adore the combination of the antique textiles: the susani, ikat, and shaggy Moroccan rug all in raspberry tones! Just dreamy. The organic, natural texture and color of the desk lightens the space so nicely and of course I love the two doggies for company. Just perfect if you ask me! Do you agree?

Dreamy Bath of the Day

How dreamy is this master bath? 

I think a fireplace in the bathroom is a true luxury of life! Plus the oversized mahogany mirror creates a cozy but still open space {brilliant how it even runs behind the counter to the floor!} Also love the softness the upholstered ottoman brings.

I love it, but what do you think . . . Too grand for a bath or just right?

Dreamy Interior of the Day: Ladylike Living Room

I am a huge Miles Redd fan and I think this dreamy living room is just lovely! The ruffled curtains might certainly be too precious for me in another setting, but Redd does such a beautiful job of adding modern and eclectic pieces for balance!

Dreamy Interior of the Day: The Manly Lounge

I am totally crazy for this masculine lounge area by Diego Ladino. It is refined and manly but also so beautiful and a bit quirky! 

Why Does it Work?

1) A great combo of materials and finishes: natural wood, heathered wool fabric, glossy black lampshades, marble

2) Lots of symmetry! {See my previous post on the art of pairing} 

3) Rich but refined colors! Cool neutrals, grays and black with a little bit of red in the cactus pot and the stack of books.

Dreamy Interior of the Day: Eclectic Lounge

My dreamy interior of the day is this relaxed and eclectic lounge-living room in the home of Roman Alonso, the creative director of Commune in House Beautiful {via Moodboard}. 

I especially love:

1. Red linen lampshade!

2. Deep greek mattress with an oversized bolster as the sofa! So casual and comfy.

3. Piles of floor pillows

4. The all black and white photography

Spotted this in an old issue of Domino - I miss you Domino! Why its dreamy (in no particular order! :)

1. Love the color combo of the buttery yellow with neutrals and the deep charcoal floor!

2. The extra long ottoman-coffee table. Never seen one quite this shape - great idea!!!

3. The lack of window treatments (unless you have a privacy issue!) So airy and open!
