{P.S.} Affordable Frames

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

After posting on colored matting yesterday, I got some questions so wanted to follow up with my favorite affordable framing solutions! One great tip is to buy an inexpensive frame but replace the mat with a mat custom cut for you at a framing shop - they don't charge much for this, and it gives very you a custom look! Another trick is to pay attention to the frames at thrift shops and garage sales - ignore the art inside, you can swap it out, but a standard size quality frame is a great find! Also. . .
My go to is the Ribba frames from Ikea which come in lots of sizes!

A collection of the Ribba frames in white looks great!

I also like this great set from Target.

This frame from West Elm looks very luxe with its antiqued silver frame and natural linen matting - a definite favorite of mine!

Here is the whole great collection from West Elm!

Do you have any favorites for affordable but lovely frames? I'd love to hear!
