Inspired IKEA: Eclectic Living Room

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Spotted. . . lots of IKEA pieces mixed with mid century modern vintage furniture and lots of original artwork! The result is a welcoming and eclectic living space in blues and yellows. The pillows first caught my eye - all three patterns are from IKEA, as well as the global-chic TROLLSTA tray table in black. The sheepskin throw rugs are also IKEA. But the space really comes together in a custom way due the lovely wood settee, groovy white floor lamp and gallery wall featuring tons of collected paintings and illustrations.  I am certainly inspired - hope you are too!

How could we ever do without a little IKEA mixed in? This is such a great inspiration for using IKEA and some vintage pieces and original art. I love everything about their collage wall and the a to z letters mixed in with their art is pretty genius.

This room looks beautiful, it doesn't scream Ikea at all. It is quite a successful space, to say the least. Love those eclectic artwork and the overall color scheme! I think the bookcase might be from Ikea, too. It looks very familiar! :)
