One of the projects I am working on at the moment has a little media room tucked away on the third floor. The client wants this to be a warm, family space for watching movies and lounging together so we opted to use a daybed and load it with a riot of fun, bohemian pillows. I love the idea of a causal, layered mix of patterns and textures. We started with a pair of blue batik pillows the client had picked up in Bali and added on from there with a color palette of indigo blues, creams and a pop of pink. Dream Getaway: A Chic & Cozy Austrian Lodge

I love ski trips! And while I do like skiing, what I really adore the most is the warm, casual and oh so cozy feeling of small and wintery mountain towns. We had an amazing ski trip to France a few years ago and I am still dreaming about the charming chalet and nights spent by the fire drinking wine. So when I saw the fantastic ski lodge Jagdgut Wachtelhof in Austria I had to share! I love how rustic and traditional these interiors are with just an edge of modern style and a few luxe finishes. It reminds me a of a gorgeous old family home and I am surprised how lovely the combo of black, forest green, cream and red is! 

Any details you love?

Definitely adding it to our must visit list - I have a feeling my husband would adore it too - every ski season spent in tropical Singapore kills him!

Daily Detail: Cozy, Industrial Living

Don't you just love this warm and casual living room? It would seem that industrial pieces and bare floors would be the opposite of cozy, but this space illustrates just how to fuse the two! I love the layers of different textures, the simple monochromatic color scheme, and the clean, mod lines of the furniture pieces. The collected gallery wall is also so pretty and quirky!

Today I am so inspired by this bright and cozy, vintage inspired Vermont cabin! I love the quirky architectural details, traditional fabrics mixed with modern forms and happy color palette. It always been a dream of mine to have a wood burning stove and this black one is so charming. Do you have any favorite details?

Instant Warmth: Sheepskins

Need a quick holiday update? Just add a few sheepskins for a cozy and warm wintery feel! I have long loved how sheepskin throws look on the floor, layered over larger area rugs {I even have one at home!} but lately have been spotting them draped over all types of seating. A sheepskin is a lovely addition to a hard chair or bench - I adore the texture and welcoming vibe they bring.
