I was thrilled when a client recently asked me for a 'dark and moody' master bedroom! He was imaging for rich, deep blue walls but was worried it would look to heavy. I love this look and when properly balanced with plenty of lighter elements, dark walls can create such a cozy and stylish space.
Here are a few tips for making deep blue walls work:
+ opt for white or pale neutral bedding
+ use art and light fixtures to break up the deep color on larger walls
+ chose a blue with green undertones or a dusty hue for a more sophisticated palette
