This week I spotted this Park City project by Utah based designers Studio McGee, and I am completely in love! It's filled with modern but rustic spaces and loads of gorgeous details and organic textures. I think the use of color is especially beautiful - tons of cream, gray, black, woods and tans offset with just a few key pieces of soft reds, greens and blues. These interiors are both sophisticated and so cozy - a dream!

House Tour: Nantucket Updated!

In honor of the long Memorial Day weekend in the States and the official kick off to summer, I had to share this amazing updated beach house by Jeffery Alan Marks. There are a lot of beautiful beach homes but it's not often I spot one as fresh and unexpected as this Nantucket beauty. I love the worn vintage pieces layered against the cool, white crispness of the interior architecture. The decor nods to traditional New England seaside home but feels so modern as well - no fussy sea shell collections here! I especially like the use of warm reds, turquoise, and lots of black, white and gray to balance the classic beach blues. Honestly, I could move right in! Any details you love?

House Tour: Keri Russell's Brooklyn Brownstone

Today I am so inspired by the light filled New York townhouse of actress Keri Russell, recently featured in Elle Decor. Loaded with reclaimed materials and rough, natural finishes, I think this home is a beautiful balance of rustic and elegant. I especially love the blend of modernized updates and organic textures in the dining room and kitchen. The simple color palette of sand, creams and whites is so peaceful and really lets the architecture and unique vintage pieces shine. Honestly I could move right in!

Rustic & Fresh: Refurbished Cottages in Connemara

I am back in steamy Singapore, but in honor of my time in lovely Ireland I had to share this beautifully modern seaside home in Connemara. It was designed by architects Peter Legge Associates and what an incredible contrast to the charming, romantic style of the traditional Irish homes {see here}! The pair of dilapidated stone cottages were rebuilt and joined with an innovative glass structure to create one unique guest house. I love how the cabin embraces the fantastic natural setting and I think the balance of rugged and sleek is just perfect. I can just imaging spending a cozy fall weekend here!
